Anodising

Anodised aluminium is the prestige product for windows and doors, commercial claddings, and distinctive exterior and interior architectural features. It offers design flexibility, fashionable metallic colour choice options, durability, and easy maintenance.

The process of anodising aluminium has been used since the 1920s. Its durability in many applications is superior to that of other surface finishes such as painting or powder coating. Anodised aluminium is used widely as a building material and in applications such as marine spars where the finish needs to resist highly corrosive salt water elements.

The many advantages of anodising

High Durability

High Durability

Anodising is an electrochemical formation of oxide film that is an integral part of the base metal. Anodising is resistant to ultraviolet rays and provides a high degree of protection from salt air and is therefore a recommended finish for high ultraviolet and coastal environments.

Colour Stability
Through the introduction of inorganic salts in the colouring process, profiles can be integrally coloured. These colours are very stable and UV resistant.

Easy Maintenance
Anodised aluminium profiles have an extremely long life and offer significant maintenance and operating savings. An anodised surface only requires rinsing or mild soap and water cleaning to retain its luster.
