Greg and Andrea Cawley have been involved in the Tauranga building industry since 1991 and have owned Showerman since 1999. The addition of Rylock BOP in 2002 then Balustrades BOP in 2007 and Dual Glaze in 2009 has given them a stable of thoroughbred companies.
The formation of the umbrella company, GAC Group, formalizes a synergy that has been building up over the years, cementing these 4 companies reputation along with their other wholesale business as a "one stop shop" for aluminium and glass products.
Service and knowledge is the key to the Group success. Anyone, from DIY home renovators to managers of major commercial projects will find the assistance they need at a level they understand from the GAC Group staff.

Buying Power
The formal alliance gives the company great buying power resulting in significant savings they can pass direct to the customer. GAC Group purchase their aluminium from one of New Zealand’s biggest suppliers, Fletcher aluminium, with glass being sourced from locally based Metro Glasstech BOP.
Complete Service
GAC Group service starts at the sales enquiry and continues through measure, design, quotations, manufacture and installation with ongoing service and maintenance all performed by their own staff.

The Team
Greg and Andrea Cawley, who both come from professional backgrounds, are joint Managing directors. Greg is a forward thinker concentrating on strategy, finance and growth. Leading a progressive company, Greg is always looking to enhance their product range and be the first to offer innovative new products and idea from overseas. Greg recently demonstrated his commitment to reach the peak in any endeavour by trekking in the Himalayas and reaching Everest’s base camp. Andrea’s role is to focus on the ever increasing compliance issues, health and safety and employment law. Any spare time, after running a busy household with a young family sees her trying to improve her golf handicap.
General Manager Ray Skinner sees his job as a constant streamlining of the processes and operations of the company to achieve the most productive balance between the needs of the customer and the ability of the staff to meet these. Ray brings the benefits of past business experience with Trustpower and the banking group JP Morgan.
